Hope, an acrylic painting on canvas measuring approx. 24” by 31” is not just a painting of a mother elephant and its calf…it represents the will of one generation to a newer one. Elephants are known for their sensitive and social nature - generations of herds are lead by the eldest female, known as the matriarch. They are extremely protective of those within their family but are also known to sometimes adopt orphaned calves into their ranks.
